Booking Information
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure.
- Please wait on the upper walkway until crew advise you to enter the gangway.
- Check-in and boarding commence 15 minutes prior to departure.
- If pre-booked, please have your booking confirmation available.
- Please have Senior / Concession cards ready for crew to view.
- If travelling with a voucher or gift card, please hand it to the crew on boarding.
- Group or family bookings must have all members present before boarding.
Passengers travelling with a push bike may be required to remove saddle bags and batteries for ease of lifting if required.
A fee of $5 each way is payable at the time of booking.
Parking Information
- Nelson Bay: Most parking is metered at approximately $4/$5 per hour. A limited amount of unrestricted parking is available at the top of Magnus Street (approximately a 10-minute walk to the public wharf). Street parking is generally limited to 4 hours, while the public wharf car park allows up to 9 hours.
- Tea Gardens: Street parking is widely available.
Cancellation Policy
- A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to receive a refund.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure are non-refundable. You may reschedule your booking; however, refunds will not apply to a cancelled rescheduled booking.
- No-shows are not eligible for a refund or reschedule.
- Group bookings must provide 48 hours’ notice for any change in passenger numbers.
- No refund will apply if group numbers are changed on the day of departure.
- If The Original Tea Gardens Ferry cancels a service due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will apply.
